Peru’s Romero Group to maintain investment projects in 2009 despite world crisis Lima, Dec. 12 (ANDINA).- The executive director of the Peruvian Romero Group, Dionisio Romero Paoletti, said today the conglomerate will keep investment projects for next year, despite a possible impact of the world financial crisis, and he added that national entrepreneurship must be prepared to supply the demand that will reactivated after the turbulence. “I can not speak for all entrepreneurs because each one has to see what is best for their interests and investments, as well as assessing the return risk in their own sectors, but in the case of Romero Group, which participates in different sectors of the economy, the investment plan will continue", he said. He indicated that coming months and years represent great uncertainty due to the change in the international economy, which is very deep and serious since it has affected major economies dramatically. "Although the global recession will affect the country, as the whole region, we must emphasize that Peru counts on unbeatable economic conditions to face this challenge, which doesn’t mean that it won’t be affected", he said. In this regard, he pointed out that the anti-crisis plan presented this week by the government is very consistent since it has considered the key points to tackle in a correct way the financial and economic turbulence to be presented in the following months. |
Grupo Romero mantendrá proyectos de inversión para el 2009 pese a crisis mundial Lima, dic. 12 (ANDINA).- El director ejecutivo del Grupo Romero, Dionisio Romero Paoletti, aseguró hoy que el grupo mantendrá los proyectos de inversiones previstos para el próximo año, pese al impacto que pueda tener la crisis mundial en el país, pues el empresariado nacional debe estar preparado para atender la demanda que se reactivará luego que pase la turbulencia. “No puedo hablar por todos los empresarios porque cada uno tiene que ver lo que es mejor para sus intereses e inversiones, así como evaluar el riesgo de retorno en su propio sector, pero en el caso del Grupo Romero, que participa en varios sectores de la economía, el plan de inversiones continuará”, afirmó. Indicó que los próximos meses y años son de mucha incertidumbre debido al cambio que ha sucedido en la economía internacional, el cual es muy profundo y grave pues ha afectado a grandes economías de manera dramática. “Si bien la recesión mundial afectará al país, como a toda región, debemos destacar que Perú se encuentra en inmejorables condiciones económicas para afrontar este reto, lo cual no quiere decir que no será afectado”, mencionó. En ese sentido, precisó que la elaboración del Plan Anticrisis presentado esta semana por el Poder Ejecutivo es muy coherente pues ha tomado en cuenta los puntos clave para enfrentar de manera correcta la turbulencia financiera y económica que se presentará en los meses siguientes.
